Brothers,
The Massachusetts State Board of the Ancient Order of Hibernians in conjunction with the Tara Court Major Degree Team of Suffolk County New York will be hosting a Major Degree Ceremony for eligible candidates on Sunday October 2, 2011 @ 2 pm. The event will be held at the Worcester Hibernian Cultural Center 19 Temple Street Worcester MA
We ask that all County Board and Division Presidents notify their Divisions and memberships to afford as many Brothers as possible to take advantage of this opportunity to advance their knowledge of this Great Order.
We as Brothers in the exemplification of the Shamrock Degree pledged to take the test of this Order. Now is the time to honor that pledge. Many believe that you are not a full fledged member of this Order until you attain your Major Degree. Many jurisdictions now require a Brother to have received his Major Degree before he can stand for office in our Order.
The Massachusetts State Board will be bringing the Tara Court Major Degree Team (One of the finest Degree Teams in our Order) to Worcester for the exemplification of the Major Degree. Qualified candidates do not want to miss out on this ceremony.
Candidates will be assessed a $30 fee to help cover the costs of the Degree Ceremony.
Candidates will also be required to wear proper dress. Any candidates that may need assistance due to physical aliments please note on your application. The Degree ceremony can last up to three hours. A social hour will follow the Degree Ceremony. Members who have received their Major Degree are welcome to come as observers as long as space is available. Candidates should arrive one hour before scheduled start time @ 1pm with their travel cards for processing and instructions.
Any inquiries can be directed to Richard Thompson 617 755-8467,
An application for candidates accompanies this letter (CLICK HERE !!!). We ask that you make as many copies as needed and return to the posted address with the proper payment in a timely manner. Pre- registration will give us number to work with for food etc. and those that pre register will have their spot reserved versus those that may show up the day of the ceremony.
